Having secured all the necessary permits, construction has begun on EM Crosby Boatworks’ private ramp for hauling and launching their customers’ boats. The ramp is located just north of the Osterville drawbridge on the Little Island side. It is comprised of (38) 15″ x 12′ x 6″ reinforced concrete slabs. The crew at EM Crosby is building the ramp. There will be a staging area and shop located on the lot behind the ramp.
The new ramp and shop will increase efficiency and exposure for the yard. It is very exciting to once again have a Crosby owned and operated boat business on the shores of Osterville… the last being Charlie, Karen and Ned’s grandfather Chester’s yard, which sold in 1987.
