A Wianno Senior for you.
E.M. Crosby Boatworks is proud to offer their version of the Wianno Senior…a gaff-rigged knockabout designed by Ned’s ancestors over 100 years ago.
Originally built of wood at Crosby Yacht Yard, the Wianno Senior has now transitioned to a fiberglass hull and deck, outfitted with a combination of teak and mahogany to look much like the original wooden sloop.
Our Wianno Seniors are made to order and take approximately three months to complete production.

E.M. Crosby’s has gone to great lengths to insure that their fiberglass version looks as close to its wooden predecessor as possible. One detail includes having the house-side/coaming exterior laminate “book matched” port and starboard on centerline and butting together at the forward end of the house. The house top appears to sit on top of the house-side/coaming section, as it had originally been constructed. It is very difficult to tell the difference between E.M.Crosby’s fiberglass Senior and an original wooden constructed Senior.
If racing a Wianno Senior is of interest, we offer a “racing package”, which includes lightweight and modern hardware, with special attention paid to a fair and smooth bottom. E.M.Crosby-built Seniors have won the coveted Wianno Senior Class Association’s “Scudder Cup” for the 2016 and 2017 regattas.
